Sync data between Realm and SQL

#1

Hello,

I would like to sync my Realm database hosted on your cloud with a SQL database hosted on Azure for 2 reasons:

  • easy generate reports with SQL
  • be able to copy data between realm instances

For that I created an application in ASP .net, but each time I try to access data on Realm Cloud, I have the following error message:
[DllNotFoundException: Unable to load ‘realm-wrappers’ DLL: The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)]

I just run the method explained here: https://docs.realm.io/platform/using-synced-realms/server-side-usage/data-access

I also saw that there was a way to automatically synchronize data between Realm and SQL, but for that I need to have the “MSSQL Data Adapter Package file”. How can I have it?

Thank you for your help.
Regards,

@adz23 The MSSQL adapter can be obtained by emailing into [email protected] - It is an additional charge.

For the ASP question - We do support it. Classic asp.net runs as a regular .net app on windows. And we support both that and asp.net core.

How are you importing the package? What platform are you running on?

Hello,

I have just created another post to detail my issue : https://forum.realm.io/t/can-we-access-ros-with-asp-net/1888

I just follow the guide : https://realm.io/docs/dotnet/latest
I add Realm package by using Nuget

@adz23 Can you follow these instructions - this is more of a server-side app. The instructions you mentioned are for a mobile-app

https://docs.realm.io/platform/using-synced-realms/server-side-usage/data-access#sdks

Depending on what you want to achieve, you can use either the server-side package or the client-side one. If you just want to read data in/out of Realm, the client side package should be sufficient and you shouldn’t be getting this error. Let’s work in your other forum post to get the basic functionality working, then we can discuss the MSSQL integration here.
